‘Hippie on a Stick’ (Western Anemone), Trophy Mountain Meadows, Wells Gray Park, BC

By August, the Glacier lilies bloom is over, but that doesn’t mean that the meadows are green. Flowers in all shades of yellow, white, blue and red are abundant. For obvious reasons, this tiny anemone is nicknamed ‘Hippie on a Stick’.
